What kind of issues?problems?

In all leading private hospitals all doctors speak excellent English, most of them have studied abroad. I think that all major hospitals have an urology department which can help you for kidney issues.

Please do specify the problem. The part about a pharmacist is especially puzzling; pharmacist cannot treat kidney disease.

I find that people people often confuse the roles of urologists and nephrologists.

So more details, please

I am the OP. I am 69. 3 1/2 years ago I was told I am at CKD Stage 3A. Since the, I have been able to hold my eGFR and Creatinine numbers almost steady.

I saw an interesting program on NHK TV a short while back. (By way of background, NHK is Japan's public broadcaster; equivalent to the BBC or PBS. They don't broadcast trash.)

They discussed the use of SGLT 2 inhibitors (a diabetes drug) as appropriate for someone with CKD 3 to slow the deterioration of kidney function.

Before proceeding farther, I would like to discuss this with a doctor who has knowledge of SGLT 2 drugs. I would also appreciate a reply from anyone here with relevant experience.

The drug I believe you are referencing is Farxiga.

I hope you are also broadening your knowledge about this by searching all the relevant journal articles. Doc don't have a lot of free time to keep up to date. Better do it yourself to discuss this with a doc.

Forgixa is here: https://medtide.com/meds/cardiovascular/diabetes/dapagliflozin-forxiga-10-mg-30-tablets-box/ B1795.

Best of health to you...

Also here: https://www.farxiga.com

Here in Thailand pronounced: far-see-GAH

OK. A pharmacist will not be helpful at least at this stage. You need a nephrologist. I suggest one of these:

Bring all your medical records/lab results with you as well as list of all medications you are currently on.

Control of hypertension and diabetes, if applicable, are key to maintaining kidney function as is control of any other cardiovascular disease (e.g. athero or arteriosclerosis).
