A house helper was apprehended in Quezon City on May 26 for allegedly stealing over ₱2.4 million in cash and jewelry from her employer in Barangay Bagumbayan. The suspect, known only as "Angelica," was captured by Quezon City Police District Eastwood Station officers. Authorities reported she entered the victim’s bedroom around 4:30 p.m. and took significant amounts of money and jewelry.

Angelica allegedly moved the stolen goods to an unidentified male accomplice. The theft included ₱1,002,500 in cash, five pairs of earrings worth ₱820,000, four necklaces valued at ₱300,000, a ₱220,000 bracelet, and two pendants worth ₱70,000. After the theft was discovered, the employer confronted Angelica, who confessed to the crime.

The crime was reported to the Eastwood Police Station, enabling follow-up operations that led to Angelica's arrest by 11:30 p.m. the same day. Despite the arrest, the stolen items have not been recovered, and Angelica will face qualified theft charges at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

QCPD director Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio praised the prompt response by the police and encouraged locals to report emergencies using E911 or QC Helpline 122.
