Cheapest way to dial a landline in UK.

Featured Replies

I have to ring England UK National Insurance Govt office in what I believe will be a lenghty call, I haven't needed to call anyone in the UK on anything but free apps, Line, Whatsapp etc for well over 10 years so what does anyone use to call UK landlines?

I vaguely remember adding some prefix to the number which solicited a cheaper rate ??

TIA

Does your phone have Wi-Fi calling?

Dial 009 before the country code.

I use my US based phone to make and receive unlimited calls to and from the US from Thailand for free.

My UK sim would be charged (apparently as I have not tried it) at standard call rate so since I have a PAYG sim that would actually likely be more expensive for me then using my Thai Sim shock1

So I use Local Phone.

Do you have a mobile package that includes minutes as that arrangement sounds great?

Standard call rate in the home country of the sim, in my case, the US.

My US phone/sim has "free" unlimited calls within the US, and the same US phone/sim has free unlimited Wi-Fi calls to and from the US while I am in the US.

I use it all the time. I can even use it to make and (more importantly) receive "free" US calls while in Thailand, using my Thai phone's hot-spot when I am out and about.

Thanks for all the replies, I used Mytello.

I bought 250 Bahts worth and they gave me another 50 Baht free as a new customer.

I probably spent 15-20 minutes on the phone and I still have a balance of 288 Baht which is 1613 Minutes ! Which will probably never get used.............

i just checked wifi calling and it will work to call UK but depends on network, Giffgaff doesn't support it, EE and Vodafone does so depends which sim you have. Many people have Giffgaff, So I'll stick with Talk360
