EMOJI through the lens of a Skinnerian Paradigm: What…???

EMOJI through the lens of a Skinnerian Paradigm: What…???

Dear Folks,

How many TV members enjoy being subtly manipulated into behaving in odd ways?

How many TV members appreciate the power of Behavioral Conditioning?

Shall we take a POLL?

Also, what IS Behavioral Modification through Skinnerian Conditioning?

These are all very important questions which impact the functioning of our TV Forum.

Yet, too few members understand the importance of understanding what makes TV members Tick.

Correct?

Tick-Tock.

These rewards, both positive and negative reinforcements, shape how you interact with our forum.

And, if you cannot understand this, then you might better be spending more of your time on TikTok, equally mindlessly.

Tick-Tock.

Now is the time, and it is HIGH TIME, to superficially review what we know about Behavioral Modification, from a Skinnerian perspective.

After watching the linked video, please share your thoughts. And, yes, this video even covers mundane matters such as when your dog poops on the carpet.I am also not implying that authors and commentators are dogs, so just watch the vid, please.

Did you learn something, today?

Thank you and regards,

Gamma G.

NOTE:  Please note that this video, which I have linked here, is for your own good.

NOTE2: After watching this video, then please never complain to me that you sometimes feel as if you are being underhandedly manipulated by your fellow TV members.

There must be an APP to remove these Emoji…..one supposes……

NOTE3: I am not saying that this video will replace several semesters of Behavioral/Experimental Psychology at a decent uni……. But, still OK

As usual.

Thank you.

I mean, thank you for not giving me one of several Emoji.

I don't willy nilly give out my emoji's, I save them for special occasions.

If I remember, you were the first member to receive my question mark emoji.

I remember it well, it was a special day. 😂

What’s up with the obsession over internet cartoon insignias lately…U+1FAE0

I’ve tried relentlessly, time and time again, to get my dog to poop on the carpet, but he simply refuses. Nothing works.

Maybe I should bring him over to your place and see if we can get him to poop on your carpet instead. That seems like a reasonable experiment, considering you’ve apparently had such consistent success with other dogs pooping on yours.

One question, though: once a poop lands on the carpet, how long does it usually stay there?

GammaGlomulin tries to Glom on to anything that he thinks is topical enough to get a click. Starving for engagement, innit.

I’m telling you, I’ve tried everything from magic carpets to rug pulls and my dog simply won’t poop on the carpet. Honestly, what’s your secret?

Please just treat your dog the same way you would treat any other member on TV.

I don’t know anyone on TV. I don’t even watch TV. My dog is willing to watch TV though, but pooping on the carpet is a nonstarter for him.

Please sell your dog, and buy a new one.

Your dog is defective.

See the topic I just posted in The Pub about dog poop on the streets of Europe. You triggered me. Alas, it's not the lack poop that's really the problem.

I would rather NOT see any posts about poop, thank you, just the same....

Not really.

I am having my evening meal.

Would you expect anyone to wish to discuss poop at a time such as this?

Maybe I will read your poop post another day.

OK?

That's a useful trait on this forum. Perhaps you could offer to mentor some of the other forum members...

As my friend Charlie always says....

I could explain it to them....BUT....

I could not UNDERSTAND it for them.

Such a pity, really...because....

It's really so very simple.
