I find myself needing a certified copy of my UK passport. The gov.uk website suggests that I should be able to do this online and receive the copy by post. However, when it comes to "proof of address", there's nothing that seems applicable to Thailand. (They only accept UK driving licences, apparently.)

Is it possible to get a certified copy from the embassy in Bangkok without going in person? (Something I really don't want to do.)
