Kiln dried western hardwoods - now here in TH

Featured Replies

If, like me, you've been 'pining' for a local supplier of western hardwoods, the wait is over.

I was up at their Rangsit site yesterday and came away with American ash, poplar, rock maple and black walnut. They also have oak, red oak, beech, and so on.

Most of it looks like US B stock so you need to know what you're looking at. The quality is straight from the sawmill so you'll be needing power tools - but it is all kiln dried,

And they sell a lot of pine.

Kiln dried wood has been available in TH for decades. A few places up at Udon area, 20+ yrs ago had.

There's a major distributor at Pathum Thani that ships countrywide.

Personally, I still wouldn't use any wood for home construction.
