Filter paper for LG Inverter AC

Featured Replies

I heard that there is filter paper of some sort that you can put on the air filters of air conditions like the LG inverter that I have. I guess that apply and stick to the mesh filters on the AC.
Does anyone have any experience with this. Recommendations for filter papers?

HEPA filter sheets are available, but I wouldn't recommend it, if your AC is an inverter, it probably already is an air purifier, as haven't seen any that didn't advertise that feature.

I did use for a very short period as tester, and didn't notice any difference or faster air purifying. More concerned about them putting a strain on the motor and restricting air flow. You can buy them in cut sheets or roll of, at HomePro, or online; Shopee & LAZ.

Just keep the filters that come with the AC clean, and get regular AC cleaning done. For us, the main used AC needs it about 6 month intervals, so we get the other one done also, since they're here.

I used the 3m 9808 and 9809 filters for pollution reduction and they are effective. Measured with meter. Depending on how many windows you keep open they also reduce dust.

Regarding obstructing air flow this is usually caused by not changing the filter often enough, or covering more than 1/2 to 2/3 of the mesh filter screen.

As long as you can follow those two rules you will be okay.

Just trialling this with HEPA filters......covered the middle third of the LG a/c.......pretty dark after two weeks!!!!!

Effective yes, to a certain degree. If pollution levels are very high a real air purifiyer is the only way to keep the air clean.

Definitely agree. If the meter is Red then every air filter is working it seems to get it back to safe level.

I put the 3M filter on my aircon last January, and it was black in a month. My GF couldn't believe the colour change. I used to buy it from Big C, but they seem to have discontinued it, so I buy it from Lazada.
