Making a Payment to MEGA

Featured Replies

MEGA (online storage) has changed their payment system from a yearly or monthly option to a "subscription".

Much as I dislike it I still tried to pay and they are refusing my card.

MEGA Support has come up with a number of suggestions none of which has worked, their default position is that it's not their fault.

Has anyone else had the issue?

Is it worth going to my Thai bank with the problem?

It's still a Monthly or Annual product offer. The subscription means little, as you can cancel it soon after you subscribe and it will run to the end of that payment period.

It seems that two of the plans are not offered for a Monthly payment; Essential and Pro Lite. If you want either of those, it seems you'll have to pay for a year up front. Essential is around 1600 baht with Pro Lite coming in at around 2400 baht. 200GB and 750GB respectively, if I remember correctly.

Monthly seems to start at 400 baht per month with Pro 1.

Your Thai card may be blocked for Online or International Payments. There is usually an option to unblock via their mobile applications. If you don't use those, you may need to call them to unblock and then again to block again.
