chrissimone
Hi all, I figgured I would gain weight when I quit 18 months ago, but I also lost the desire to drink liquids, and had to make an effort to remain hydrated. But, the strangest thing was I kept bitting my lips and tongue. Different places each time, this lasted about a year. I asked my doctor about this and he said he has never heard of this. Has anyone else experinced this?

chrissimone
Thanks for the reply. It is nice too know that I am not the only one. The last 10 years I smoked cigars, I would keep a little plug in my mouth at all times from the end of my cigar like it was chewing tobacco. I figgured it left a film on my teeth, so when I quit the film left, leaving the sharp edges on my teeth, causing the bites. Very painful. I am glad you are smoke free for so long, hope I can do the same. Chris.
Head Snake
I had a problem with weight gain. It seems like I've been yoyoing with weight gain and then slight weight loss. Its only recently that i've been able to curb the appetite a bit and that has helped. Luckily, I don't have a desire to bite my mouth.
