NEVER ride in a Thai Tuk-Tuk unless your are fully prepared to be both polite and show proper respect to the operator.

Otherwise, you might be in for a world of hurt.

And, try not to fall out, if you are British, as British often do fall out before reaching their destination.

Or, they often have a falling out with the driver.

Poster mikik seems to not understand your post, noticed the question mark notification.

I agree with your post GG, being polite makes the world spin smoother. Getting belligerent and aggressive with tuk-tuk drivers is a good way to receive a massive beating, and it will be more than one beating you up.

Yes.

I once had a rather world famous Linguistics professor who helped me to understand the great importance of showing respect to others.

His gift to me was to teach me by example the meaning of respect for others, in almost every situation.

When one respects others, then one reaps respect in return.

I do not know why mikik issued me a Question-Mark Emoji, but....still....

I respect his freedom to do so.

We are far happier individuals when we show and express respect for others, almost unconditionally.

(I am not talking about turning the other cheek, by the way. I never show my rear-end to anyone but my GF.)

They're more a novelty thing, for tourism really. Very few locals use them, and even the drivers just wait around all day for tourists.

But it says alot about the psyche of someone to argue and engage in violence over 300 baht.

Being a maximum 49% shareholder in a legitimate company with 51% legitimate Thai partners is not illegal.

Not exactly true. If the nominees are just on paper, and have no real funds to have owned the business then it's clearly fake.

Nonsense, what I posted was exactly true because I referenced legitimate companies with legitimate shareholders.

He may have felt that he was being ripped off, 300 baht is not much.

Maybe he should have agreed a price first.

300 baht for three people...

100 baht to police for "protection"

100 baht to tuk-tuk mafia.

2 liters of gasoline 85 baht.

Doesn't say how long ride.
