Renovated Roof Top Pool at Mikes Shopping Mall

Featured Replies

Anyone been since it reopened to the public....??

I understand its a hefty 250 a baht visit now albeit that should keep the uber riff raff out

Used to use it a lot when staying around that area it was a fantastic pool and guessing it still is ??

At 250 bt per visit you should at least get a happy ending.

It's a Hotel now, so if they're letting foreigners walk in off the street, the 250 bar is justified for extra security. Too many foreigners falling from rooftops.

Which engineering firm approved the structural integrity of a building with a rooftop pool? Is the data public? Has it been reviewed by an independent board of experts not financially connected to the owner?

Those are all questions I would ask before stepping on that platform, but hey I'm not Mike 😀

Mike?

Maybe the pool engineering guru was Donald Trump. He's the Worlds best in pool renovations, just ask him.

The swimming pool has always been there.

I'd say that the building was built with piers, foundations to accommodate the extra floors.

Well, I guess I would be one that doesn't know that then. 😉

To my knowledge the Kavara Hotel is not on top of the building, it is on the east side of the building.

Mike Shopping Mall still owns and operates the recently re-opened roof top pool.

To be honest, I haven't been up there for years. Did use it frequently around 2000-2006, before moving from central Pattaya. It was a nice place to relax, and good food as mentioned above.

Before and after some changes. Not long ago saw docu on tv about it.

All changes on rooftop which made it eventually come down. They even changed the changes, other ideas.

Aye, but does it look like that now?

And did it ever open?

Yes there was construction to the right or left or side, whatever.

The point I was making, the hotel did renovations to the top of Mike's shopping mall and now owns the swimming pool.

The swimming pool is for hotel guests what I've been told

I'm not the hotel owner, I don't work there, it's what I was told

Here you go again, why are you interfering, was I talking to you?

Anyway, Looks to me like the hotel has control of the swimming pool.

Oh, I get it now, you have your trigger finger on the thumbs down emojis, attacking from your warrior keyboard.

You're the troll, you rudely jump into a conversation not directed to you then start with hostility.

Enjoy your miserable day

You don't need to mention that you don’t own or work at the hotel, that is pretty obvious.

If you did, you would also know that the hotel in your Google Street View picture is now demolished. They are currently working on restoring the eastern part of the building.

I am not even sure that hotel ever opened.

I’d say that there is no hotel at Mike Shopping Mall and that whoever told you so is incorrect.

The photo smells of nostalgia; everything being cheap, all being new so quality for money, service being tip top focused, feeling of opportunities, ability to start a business, maybe own a nice condo one day, girls unlimited that your weener needs a break to restore. Man, what i would do to just go back in time.
