Are There Any Good Chiropractors in Pattaya?

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a good chiropractor in Pattaya.

Ever since the government cracked down on foreign doctors here, they've been hard to find.

I had an osteopath, but he's not well and now I can't reach him.

Let me know if anyone has a good chiropractor in the area.

Thanks in advance.

I will suggest Supak Physio Clinic in Sri racha.

I live on the west side of BK but drive to see her if I have a problem.

Lok at the size of their certificate. The only chiropractor I've ever been to had a certificate 5 foot wide on the wall of the practice. Absolute rubbish treatment. Maybe the treatment is in inverse proportion to the size of the certificate.

Personally I think they are frauds and I will stick to physiotherapy if I ever require treatment.

Long time ago but if you go to the TQ2 and ask there, the manager used to know one.

Just follow the quacking sounds.

Remember, the "diagnosis" will always be you need to make an appointment for another "adju💲tment " 😜

I'd steer well clear of chiropracters - anywhere - but especially in Thailand. Anyone can call themselves anything here - and they often get away with it for years. Go to a reputable physiotherapist, usually in a major hospital.

i kept going to chiropractors cause doctors refused to make MRI,

but eventually i had to force an MRI, and the spine is so damaged that nothing and nobody can repair it.

You really should make an MRI before anything else, and any chiropractor worth his salt should just admit that fact

Why did the doctor's refuse an MRI, it's a money-spinner for the hospitals.

I wasn't aware there were foreign doctors here. Or do you mean foreign chiropracters and osteopaths? I know there were a few of them around and they were somehow allowed to operate. I guess because they were not in the banned list of professions for Thais. Or do you mean actual foreign physicians?

If someone is "cured" by a chiropractor, then there's a good chance the problem was psychosomatic. You might as well have gone to a witch doctor, or taken a placebo! Their logo should be a dollar sign superimposed on a duck.

Let me know

I don't know if this guy is still going but he always had people mentioning him when chiro/osteo was talked about in Pattaya. I thought he had retired or something but found this link -

I used to use Nigel (the sports physio guy) before he gave up and left so I last used a clinic on Pattaya 3rd Road after Pattaya Tai junction just past Tony's gym on the same side. This was quite a few years ago and if I had similar issues I would probably go back.

You have either had a poor experience or never actually used one........

I'm not surprised they don't mention it. An MRI will cost 13,500 to 15,900 at Bangkok Hospital (current promotional price until Dec 31). If you need a contrast agent, then add 6,600 to 13,800.

All this manipulation, clicking, and crunching of the spine that chiropractors do is not good for it at all and will probably make most conditions worse.

I have not used it but hear recommendations of a place called 'Tara Therapy Clinic' on Threpasit... comes up in Google Maps.

David Pack died in Sept 2018. I went to him once and only once as he had been trained in the stone ages. I took MRI’s with me for him to see my problem, and he wanted me to go have x-rays because he didn’t know how to read an MRI. I now go to Bangkok to Dr Leoni, one of the founders of the chiropractic association in Thailand. He has about 35 years of experience and has physiotherapists that work together with him during an hour long treatment.

In Pattaya there is one licenced chiropractor at the Tara Physiotherapy clinic. Sometimes he is there and sometimes he is gone for several months.

Here is a list of everyone licenced to practice in Thailand.

I can only provide info about my own injuries from Tennis and exercise, Treatment was in America.

A great physiology professional. Probably 50% of the time the Doctor agreed what the injury was and provided Needed Referral for Insurance and Treatment.

Found physiology clinic that worked with College, professional athletes and regular patients. Very lucky.

I would go to learn the exercises, treatment plan and then follow them at home. 95% of my injuries are healed that have full pain free use of everything except my Brain, still hurts trying to understand Women and Thai Logic.

Chiropractors are great ...I love having my back cracked

It releases the pain

I had my neck cracked once but I didn't like it

"Good Chiropractor" - is an oxymoron anywhere in the world.

Is chiro worth the risk, or is it just clever marketing? - If you  look into the chiropractic industry, you’ll see that the background and business model are pretty eye-opening.

It was founded back in 1895 by a magnetic healer who claimed he cured deafness by snapping a guy's spine. The original theory was that misaligned vertebrae block a mystical "life force" and cause virtually every disease known to man. Modern medical science, obviously, completely rejects that.

While some modern "mixer" chiropractors stick to basic muscle and joint issues, the broader industry still has some massive red flags: Firstly there is limited proof: Beyond minor, short-term relief for lower back pain, there’s no real evidence it helps internal health issues—though plenty of practitioners still try to market it for that. Chiro patients always have to go back for further relief.

There are also real risks: High-velocity neck adjustments carry a small but real risk of herniated discs or tearing the vertebral artery, or, which can lead to a stroke or worse.

There is a clear business model too … lots of clinics are built around getting patients hooked on endless "maintenance packages" rather than actually fixing the problem long-term.

This then asks the obvious question: “aren't you far better off just seeing a scientifically trained physical therapist?”

A licensed PT operates entirely on evidence-based biomechanics and rehabilitation. Instead of relying on passive, lifelong adjustments, they focus on soft tissue, movement patterns, and targeted strengthening so you eventually stop needing treatment.

I know plenty of expats out here use chiro clinics for back and neck issues after long flights or bad posture. But given the pseudoscientific roots and potential risks, why gamble on a chiropractor when standard physical therapy is available?

Oh just the hearing of the cracks is relief

The lower back crack , I get masseurs to walk on my back I want to hear the cracks !!!

As the lower back cracks I can feel it shift back to its original place and the dull pain is gone !!

Absolutely beautiful feeling

But I must add this ...a few years ago I had a work colleague who was always complaining of his lower back pain .

He then went one day to one of those Rub n Tug massage shops in Australia rub by Chinese old women

As they tugged him and he released ( and this is what he told me ) but as they tugged him and he "released" , his lower back made like 8 cracking sounds and he went for months with no back pain after that Rub n tug release"

Sounds like you got cracked on the head.
