Immigration assistance in Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

An elderly friend of mine will be snowbirding in Thailand and SE Asia with his wife this coming fall and winter. He asked me if there are any local immigration agents in Chiang Mai to assist him and his wife with extension filing if and when needed.

Couldn't he post himself here on ASEANNOW ?

No, he's here in Leeds and isn't a member.

Are you in Chiang Mai and can advise?

Thanks

Best Friend Visa. In my experience very efficient and with the most reasonable rates I have come across in Chiang Mai. Thoroughly recommended.

I've used Gold and Tree on the 4th floor of Pantip Plaza for several years now. Never had problems; they're really good.

I have no idea how he books and pays, but he is in his late 70's, struggles with smartphones and apps, so he is a bit more "old school" than most of us.

His CNX agent requirement could be avoided if he could only get his head around the online Thailand eVisa application process. Not a chance of that unless I go to Leeds and walk him though it and that's not happening.

Assist Thai Visa Services - very good. I used them many times whilst living in North West Thailand over the years.

Check the internet as recommended above.

I've repeatedly used Star Visa. Very professional. Friendly staff. https://www.starvisa.net

There are dozens of Visa agents in Chiang Mai. It becomes a matter of what services they can provide and the fees to do so.

I've seen Visa Agents that charge 12,000 Baht for a one-year visa renewal.
We use a Visa Agent that charges 2,500 Baht, handles all the paperwork, picks us up at home, takes us to Imm, and takes us home again a half hour later. All we have to do is smile for the camera. (Sorry, but I will not give out his information without his consent.)
Ask around to find the one that suits your needs.

Please get his consent and post or PM me. I've done it myself for many years but 2500 is appealing.

... and membershp is so difficult to start.

With his well-minted retirement lifestyle of endless cruises and vacations, he has absolutely no good reason to join this forum.

I envy him actually. But he's a Scouser, so probably not.
