We shop in them now and then. Not all that impressed. On my part of the Darkside, Mabprachan, we have 7-11s, CJ Mores, Mini Big Cs, and Lotus's Freshes. They're all not that different in size or what they sell, with the newer, slightly larger Lotus's Fresh stores coming out on top for us, although we do 7-11 a lot, too. What we'd like to see in my area is something like the Chill shopping center with a bigger grocery store like the Tops that Chill has.

I only buy the Dunkel there, will save me going to the Dark side, I have new Lotus go fresh and a big Tops on Pratumnak hill but I don't like them, might as well just go to a big Lotus, Big C or Makro

They were in Soi Kophai a few years ago

They must be choosing low rent places hence why mostly on the darkside, now moving more central

How is it possible that someone as well-traveled as you hasn't come across this?

If there is quality at cheap prices, customers will flock,. If they sell crap, at inflated rates, no chance to survive in today's market.

They have been opening branches in Udon for over a year already. Mrs NL has a discount card from the nearest branch and save on bulk buys of shampoo, laundry and house cleaning stuff.

Meanwhile, I have been known to buy cans of Tawandang IPA there.

It seems every small to medium-sized village has them now, here, north of Korat. Another up-and-coming is Hokkee Express.

Where I live has a population of 22.674 according to Google.

To my knowledge, and I probably don't know them all, there are 14 x 7/11, 4 x CJ, 6 x Lotusssss, 2 x Mini Big C.

But don't worry, they are still building more.

Edit to add, I forgot the probably 100 mom and pop stores

I go there for good deals on cat food, but I live on the dark side and have 2 stores nearby.
