And btw, didnt you wokies actually want higher fossil fuel prices? To, well you know, save the world?🤣

yes.... higher prices with the extra $$ being put to some use better than lining the pockets of the fossil fuel industry... but I guess that's all too complicated for you. You stopped thinking after the phrase 'higher fossil fuel prices'

Canada implemented a carbon tax on fossil fuels. It was revenue neutral... or put more simply the net total tax collected was zero. This was accomplished by reimbursing the low volume users with the $$ collected from the high volume users. The tax was an effective method to introduce tiered pricing to encourage less overall consumption. The more fuel used... the higher the price per unit.... a reduction in fuel usage resulted in a lower cost per unit.

The right-leaning retards failed to figure out how it all worked and relentlessly misrepresented the tax in their campaigning.

It's useless and a waste of time and energy to tell facts to MAGA's. They just repeat their simple phrases wich are exchanged under each other in their small world.

It's very hard to disagree with this. If he really believes it, he's an idiot. If he's just lying but actually thinks that people with an double figure IQ or above believes him, he's an idiot.

Now would be a good time to remind everyone of these Trump facts, because apparently some people still need the refresher.

Please meet the President of the United States:

Flew on Epstein’s plane at least seven times. Just friends, I guess.

Pleaded the Fifth more than 400 times in a single deposition. Nothing says “innocent” like refusing to answer a single question about your own business.

34 felony convictions. A record most people would call disqualifying.

91 criminal charges.

Accused of sexual misconduct or assault by at least 26 women. But sure, tell me again how he’s a great guy.

6 corporate bankruptcies. The self proclaimed greatest businessman alive somehow keeps running out of money.

5 draft deferments. Funny how the toughest guy in the room never actually showed up for duty.

4 criminal indictments. Not two. Not three. Four.

2 impeachments. A club of exactly one president.

2 of his own companies convicted of criminal tax fraud. Convicted. Not accused. Convicted.

1 fake university shut down. 1 fake charity shut down.

Even his charity was a grift.

Paid 25 million dollars to settle the Trump University fraud lawsuit because scamming people who believed in you costs money eventually.

Ordered to pay 5 million dollars in the first E Jean Carroll sexual abuse verdict, then hit with 83.3 million more in the second.

A jury said it twice so nobody could pretend it was a fluke.

Ordered to pay 2 million dollars for looting his own so called charity.

Stealing from a charity with his own name on it.

Found liable for business fraud and originally slapped with a penalty topping 450 million dollars, later thrown out on appeal while the fraud finding itself stuck to him anyway.

First president in modern history to increase the deficit every single year of a full term. Fiscal responsibility, apparently, was always just a talking point.

Kept the debt to GDP ratio above 100 percent for his entire first term.

Presided over the largest single day point drop in Dow Jones history at the time. So much for the guy who claimed to be a genius with money.

Set the record for the longest government shutdown in US history in his first term at 35 days, then couldn’t resist beating his own miserable record in his second term with a 43 day shutdown, followed by yet another shutdown just months later. Encore nobody asked for.

Added roughly 2.25 trillion dollars to the national debt in his first year back in office alone, pushing the debt past 39 trillion dollars.

Somebody remind me who the party of fiscal discipline is again.

Pushed through the largest defense budget increase since World War Two while the debt kept climbing anyway.

Purged more than 300,000 federal employees in his first year back.

Efficient, if your goal is chaos.

Pardoned nearly 1,600 January 6 Capitol rioters on his very first day back in office, including Oath Keepers and Proud Boys leaders convicted of seditious conspiracy.

Law and order, except when it’s inconvenient.

At least 40 of those pardoned rioters have already been rearrested, charged, or sentenced for new crimes since walking free. Shocking absolutely nobody.

His family’s crypto ventures, including a meme coin and World Liberty Financial, pulled in more than 1.4 billion dollars in disclosed earnings while he sat in the Oval Office.

Draining the swamp was apparently code for filling his own pockets.

Sent the National Guard into American cities at a cost of nearly 500 million taxpayer dollars in 2025 alone.

His own tariffs are projected to cost the average American household more than 2,500 dollars this year.

You’re paying for this. Not China. You.

Now sitting at one of the lowest approval ratings of his second term, stuck in the high 30s while inflation and gas prices make everyday life harder.

None of this is a conspiracy theory, a rumor, or something you saw in a group chat.

It is the actual, documented record, sitting in plain sight for anyone willing to look.

So the next time someone tells you to relax and give him a chance, ask them how many more indictments, judgments, and shutdown records he needs to rack up before that chance runs out.

That truly is the regime of the Worlds greatest ever winner, I must say.

That's an impressive list, but it's also a good example of how people can mix facts, opinions, disputed claims and omissions into one post and hope nobody looks closely.

Yes, Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts. It's also true the case relied on a legal theory that many legal experts considered unprecedented and the conviction is under appeal.

Yes, he faced 91 criminal charges. Charges are allegations not convictions and several of those cases have since been dismissed, paused, or otherwise changed.

Yes, he flew on Epstein's plane. So did many other well known people. Flight logs alone don't prove criminal conduct and there is no public evidence he visited Epstein's island or participated in Epstein's crimes.

Then there are claims that are simply inaccurate or exaggerated like the "43-day shutdown" and "300,000 federal employees purged." Even independent fact-checkers note the federal workforce fell largely through layoffs, buyouts, resignations and attrition and the shutdown length is misstated.

I'm no fan of Trump, but I dont just believe or parrot what everyone else says, I check facts and then double check with other sources.

Your entire post is about Trump's legal problems. Not one sentence discusses his actual policies or results. Whether you like him or not, judging a president only by lawsuits while ignoring border security, foreign policy, energy, taxes, trade, manufacturing investment, and defense is politics, not an objective evaluation.

What's missing from your list is anything he's actually accomplished.

Since taking office he has accomplished:

  • Secured the boarder and dramatically reduced illegal border crossings.

  • Designated cartels and gangs like Tren de Aragua as terrorist organizations and increased deportations of criminal illegal immigrants.

  • Carried out major military strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities without starting a prolonged ground war.

  • Pushed NATO allies to commit to significantly higher defense spending.

  • Negotiated new trade agreements and used tariffs to pressure companies and countries into changing trade practices.

  • Signed major tax legislation extending many of the 2017 tax provisions.

  • Reduced federal regulations through executive actions aimed at energy production and business.

  • Increased domestic energy production by expanding oil and gas leasing and approving energy infrastructure.

  • Brokered additional investment commitments from companies building manufacturing facilities in the United States.

Bibi and Putin are the ones that are Trump's bosses, because they know what's in the Epstein files.

So let me get this straight. The Biden DOJ had the Epstein files for four years, prosecuted Epstein and Maxwell aggressively investigated Trump on multiple fronts and somehow decided to cover up evidence against him? That doesn't make much sense. If they had evidence Trump committed a crime related to Epstein he would have been charged too.

Saying Putin and Netanyahu are "his bosses" because of some secret file isn't evidence that's just another conspiracy theory.

You're making it sound like the increase in interest payments is entirely Trump's fault, but that's not how it works.

Interest payments are driven by three things:

  1. How much debt the government already has

  2. Current interest rates

  3. How much existing debt has to be refinanced each year

During the last few years interest rates rose from near historic lows to much higher levels. As trillions of dollars in Treasury debt mature that debt has to be refinanced at today's higher rates. That means interest costs go up even if no new spending is approved.

Trump is responsible for the debt incurred during his presidency, just as Biden is responsible for debt incurred during his. But blaming today's higher interest payments solely on Trump ignores the fact that they're also the result of debt accumulated over many administrations and much higher borrowing costs.

Let's look at all the factors instead of pretending one president suddenly caused interest payments to explode.

Interest rates went down under Trump. The FED has lowered interests September 2024 and December 2025, so they are lower than they were under Biden.

He promised to cut the deficit. He added $8T.

He promised to build a wall. He only did 458 miles out of 2,000. Most of it was repair or replacement, not new.

He promised to make Mexico pay. They didn't. We did.

He promised to unveil a new healthcare plan. It didn't exist.

He promised a middle-class tax cut. He cut taxes for the rich. The middle class is paying for it.

He said he wouldn't play golf as President. He made 250 visits (way more than Obama) to his own golf clubs. It cost taxpayers $150 million.

He said he'd increase economic growth by 4%. Nope. Biden did.

He promised an infrastructure plan. He had none. President Biden signed a massive one.

He promised to hire "the best people." He fired 3/4 of them and then said they were the worst ever, and they said HE was in fact the worst ever.

He promised to bring down the price of prescription drugs. He didn't: Biden did.

He promised a Hillary lock-up. Nope

Promised we'd win the trade war with China. Nope, It cost about 250,000 jobs and hurt Americans, not help them.

He promised his corporate tax cuts would help and benefit Workers, and corporations would use that money to invest in American workers. They didn't, they used that money to buy back stocks.

He promised to revive the coal industry. Never happened: more coal jobs were lost during his presidency.

A lot of what you posted leaves out important context.

"He added $8 trillion to the debt." The national debt did increase substantially during Trump's first term, but a large portion came during COVID when Congress both Republicans and Democrats passed trillions in emergency spending. Biden also added trillions to the debt during his presidency. If we're blaming one president, then we should use the same standard for all of them.

"He only built 458 miles of wall." The number depends on how you define "built." Much of it replaced old barriers with significantly stronger infrastructure and some new sections were added where no barrier previously existed. Whether that's enough is a fair debate, but saying he "only repaired fences" isn't accurate.

"Mexico didn't pay." Mexico did not directly write the U.S. a check - so yes I agree that campaign promise wasn't fulfilled.

"No healthcare plan." He never produced a comprehensive replacement for the Affordable Care Act,- I'll agree with that.

"Tax cuts only helped the rich." That's misleading. Individuals across many income levels received tax reductions under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, although higher-income taxpayers generally received larger dollar benefits. Whether that was good policy is a political debate, but it did lower my taxes in the USA.

"Prescription drug prices." Trump's administration implemented several reforms, including allowing insulin programs for some patients, changes to drug rebates, and the "Most Favored Nation" executive order, although some of those policies were blocked or later changed. Biden also deserves credit for allowing Medicare to negotiate certain drug prices through the Inflation Reduction Act. So really both administrations took action.

"Infrastructure." Biden signed a major infrastructure law, That's true. Trump did propose infrastructure plans during his first term but never got one through Congress.

"Trade war with China." There were costs to tariffs, but there were also goals beyond short term economics including reducing dependence on China, protecting strategic industries and addressing intellectual property concerns. Even the Biden administration kept many of Trump's China tariffs in place, which suggests they saw value in some of them.

No president delivers every campaign promise. The better question is whether the country was better off at the end of the term than at the beginning. People can disagree on that, but reducing four years to a list of failed promises while ignoring tax reform, deregulation, the Abraham Accords, pre-COVID low unemployment, energy production, criminal justice reform (First Step Act), and Operation Warp Speed isn't an objective assessment it's you ignoring the truth.

You're cherry-picking the end of Biden's term.

Biden didn't inherit 5% interest rates, he inherited rates that were close to zero. During his presidency the Fed raised rates to about 5% (5.25%–5.50%) the highest level in over 20 years, before finally beginning to cut them in late 2024. Yes, rates came down some after that, but they were still much higher than where they started.

Also, interest costs don't fall overnight just because the Fed cuts rates a little. The Treasury has trillions of dollars of debt that mature over time. As that debt is refinanced the interest rate depends on what rates are at that time. Today's interest payments reflect debt accumulated over many administrations and the much higher borrowing costs we've had in recent years not just spending from the last 18 months. This is another reason why Trump wants rates cut.

If you want to criticize Trump's spending that's fair, I'm not happy with it either, but blaming every increase in interest costs on Trump while ignoring the debt that already existed and the dramatic rise in interest rates over the previous several years isn't telling the whole story.

COVID absolutely affected Biden's first year in office, I never said otherwise.

But let's not pretend every trillion dollars added under Biden was because of COVID. The emergency phase of the pandemic ended years ago, yet spending continued through legislation like the American Rescue Plan, the Infrastructure bill, the CHIPS Act and the Inflation Reduction Act. they weren't all emergency COVID spending.

If we're going to excuse all of Biden's borrowing because of COVID, then we also have to acknowledge that Trump's largest increase in spending came during the biggest public health emergency in a century. You can't use COVID as an excuse for one president but not the other.

The reality is both administrations added substantially to the debt. I believe that governments should run a balanced budget, so I'm not happy with either of them.

Trump was a COVID denier. Biden inherited an economy that was down the drain, and it went only worse during the two years that covid continued under Biden.
You think the economy could recover without massive spending?

Calling Trump a "COVID denier" isn't accurate.

He declared a national emergency, restricted international travel, launched Operation Warp Speed and signed trillions in COVID relief.

You can argue he downplayed the virus at times, but that's different from denying it existed.

As for Biden, I understand emergency spending in 2021. My criticism is what came after. The American Rescue Plan added another $1.9 trillion even as the economy was reopening and many economists warned at the time that it was excessive and could drive inflation.

Both presidents spent too much during COVID. The difference is that Biden continued massive deficit spending after the emergency phase was ending.

We can talk about whether that was worth it, but let's not pretend every dollar borrowed under Biden was unavoidable because of COVID.

Canada's carbon tax simply implemented a tiered price system that is very similar to what electric, gas and water utilities use to encourage reduction in demand. Since such utilities are generally a monopoly their implementation is very straightforward. Fossil fuel delivery and sales are NOT monopolies so a different mechanism is required to create price tiers. Sadly.... I doubt you understand a word of this post.

Trump:

Nobody could watch it because the wind wasn’t blowing. Remember that? ‘Darling, we’d like to watch the debate tonight.’ ‘I’m sorry, the wind isn’t blowing.’”
