It's good to know that, up until now, I don't think I'll have drive into Bangkok to get everything done if I am willing to pay the translation services companies who claim they can to everything for me. "No problem" exact words. But overall seems very expensive.

As we also had to get a translation from the bio page to get the yellow housebook (about a year ago) , I contacted this office. Worked out great. No embassy visit etc. necessary. Everything went online.

Wish you good luck! You are in the last step to get the yellow house book and pink ID...

One comment on this - when I went through something similar (albeit it was to register my marriage in Thailand and not only to obtain a yellow book/pink-ID), the translation service need a 'power of attorney' signed. The document the translation service wanted me to sign (granting them power of attorney) was far too open ended with no constraints applied (other than an expiry date, i think). That was not acceptable to me, as the way I read their very open unrestricted 'power of attorney document' meant they could handle my finances as the document had no limits. THAT would be totally unacceptable to me.

So I marked up the power of attorney document with extra sentences specifically limiting it to handling affairs to register my marriage in Thailand.

Whether such applies to the translation service you use, i don't know, but be very cautious if some wording in anything appears too open ended (such as an unlimited power of attorney document). Perhaps i was paranoid, but I had no desire to hand to a translation service person the temptation for them to make themselves an overnight millionaire by handing them full power of attorney over me.
