Chinese Man Arrested Following Wife’s Death in Chiang Mai

A 45-year-old Chinese man was arrested after allegedly fatally assaulting his wife at their rented home in Chiang Mai’s Chang Phueak area. Rescue workers found the 38-year-old woman unconscious in an upstairs bedroom and attempted CPR, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the confrontation began after the husband received a call from a friend in China claiming that his wife was having an affair. The couple’s child reportedly witnessed the argument and subsequent assault. The husband was charged with assault causing death, while investigators arranged for a Chinese interpreter to assist with further questioning.
