Over the years I've done the renewal both ways. Agent/myself. Last time I was using and agent then transferred the 65k/month for 12 months and did it myself (Jomtien) The IO looked very closely and took my papers to his boss sitting nearby . It was approved and have now been doing it myself for the last 3 years. It could have gone either way I think.

I pay 8K at Maneerat in Pattaya (Used to pay 7,900 THB with Asia Visa Consulting in Bangkok) but this includes the 1,900 THB Immigration fee so you're paying 6,100 THB for their service.

Have posted many times why I feel this is worth it to me & fully understand other people's view that they'd rather do it themselves to save the money, as always too each his own.

I pay 7,900 which includes the 1900 ext fee.

Since I use the agent, I KNOW that I will ONLY spend 5 Minutes at CM IO to get photo taken and sign IO form/receipt! It is much better than going backwards and forward to provide some new stuff that was not needed the last time!

Saves wasting hours at that horrible stuffy cage they call a waiting room which has insufficient seating!

PS; We are talking about a building that was only opened in the last few years and is already overcrowed with insufficient parking or seating! I prefer to "waste that time in the local pub!

I am thinking about using a hand holding agent (again-2nd retirement extension for two people) for CW immigration as we live far enough away and want to avoid multiple trips when we miss something.

Yeah, I'd love to just pay a full service agent like TVC and be done with it, but would prefer to get the stamp from the area we live in. Just in case. :)

Any recommendations/cost? I have a feeling the one we used last time will be too expensive (even more than someone who needs 'bank account help').

Did you inquire if TVC provides hand holding. Would be surprised if they didn't.

Frankly don't see a lot of advantage for using agent for retirement extensions.

You will still have to obtain Bank Statement and Bank letter etc.

CW have appointments available and they run like clockwork.

TVC does offer stamps from Chaeng Watthana. It'll be the highest price packages in their advertisements.

Yeah, for 55K or whatever I would do it myself. But for that 7K noted above (I know it's not CW), that would be worth it to me. I still have time, so will be on the lookout. :)

I think your confused. The 55k would be for Non O + bank account + 12 month extension + cover financial requirements.

You want hand holding service only for extension only.

You had said "It'll be the highest price packages in their advertisements." - so that was the highest one I saw in the Ad. The ads I get don't mention anything but the 14K and the 55K. I will ask them when it's closer to time.
