Best way to stay legally for 5 months

Featured Replies

I just want to stay totally legally November to March to escape Northern winter.

Get married?

Get a job?

@DrJack54

If you disagree how about the long-term solutions?

How about getting a tourist visa from your local Thai consulate, then an extension in country.

When expired travel to a neighboring country still avoiding a the "Northern winter" and apply for another tourist visa. That's what tourists do?

It is not rocket surgery. Should see you through 5 months-ish.

An METV is also a tourist visa.

More expensive option however avoids any dealing with immigration.

All visas obtained outside of Thailand are now done on e-Visa platform.

Your first post I assume was joking.

He doesn't want a wife or job.

He is a snowbird. Actually quite a lot of them

Consider a METV eVisa.

Edit: you were given advice in attached thread.

Thank you Dr, but the advice given to me in that thread did not work out at all well in my situation. What Vocal said would have been much easier/less stress than what I did last January.

After 90 days would be way less hassle to take a 2 week trip to a close country and apply for another tourist visa as long as its legal and doesn't raise issues?

Then get one of those. When it expires you'll still have to leave the country. Go on-line apply for a another and come back. Sheesh.
