BP has installed a paywall. I have heard that there sometimes is a way to circumvent a paywall. I tried the only method I know.... it didn't work.

Only had a quick look to overcome.

Tried using a bypass paywall reader which showed the article selected but the text was shown reversed.

Then had to flip the text either online or using your normal text editor.

For me, too much of a faff, but might use it just for Crutch once a week.

Have not tried to find anything easier.

I imagine that the Bangkok Post management and, especially, it advertisers are closely looking at how many hits the Post's website and its articles are getting everyday since the charging change was implemented.

There's always the Nation.....................if you want to be met with headlines all about JAPAN!!!!!!!!

The Nation is a THAI newspaper...........Thailand news FIRST Japan later -if at all and only if newsworthy

Thank might be true but in the States this has been going on for years, today no one buys papers they go online to get stories it is about money mostly doing so they know they can charge you online.

Years ago, soon after I moved to Thailand, I was given an early experience of Thai logic when I tried to buy that day's BP and the shopkeeper refused to sell it to me as he hadn't sold out yesterday's yet.

Where can I still buy a Bangkok Post in Bangkok? At the Japanese bookstores I can buy the foreign newspapers but not a Bangkok Post.

In Bangkok there are certain 7/11 branches and Tops supermarkets who have the printed editions. You might google that to get more details.

My VPN set to both Norway and Sweden, works well with Bangkok Post.

Haven't tried other countries, but I have no limits or blocks.

Might be temporarily, I don't know.

Edit: Well, wait. I get the same message of subscription of 99 baht for some articles. Just didn't came up yet..

So, I guess no help there. Most articles works and are free though.
