Every year seems to be different sets of documents to sign, new map requirements , how many photos who and where, has varied from 4 to 7 and 1 per page to 2 per page etc etc,

I will visit local office soon but they refuse to put anything in writing of course!

Any advice welcome esp from those who done recently, I think this is my 20th extension and never seems to get easier.

An agent can't do much for marriage extension.

Unfortunately not many first hand reports for CR.

Read threads on marriage extensions in general..

Not lot of advantage in visiting immigration.

Not as many changes as you are thinking IMO

I'm not sure about you, but my map requirements haven't changed at all.

To get a visa extension based on marriage, you must have a Thai spouse and THB 800K in bank deposits from the past three months.

Then it will likely be the same as the other 19.

In my case we take the photos of the same scenes as the previous year. More than we need and Imm. chose which ones they want, Imm. makes a copy from their files of the same map we used the first time.

Next time you go to town shopping pop into Imm. and ask if any requirements have changed.

Same here:

At Pathum Thani I've used the same photocopied, hand drawn 'map' for the last 10 or so extensions.

Luckily home vists have now stopped with their 'local' criteria now being .....if your Thai wife is over 46yrs old (why 46 I can't imagine) AND you have applied and received extensions for 10yrs or more, home visit not required!

Mind you, prior to this fairly recent ruling, we had plenty of annual home visits!

The "wonder BMW" could find its own way here without any map!

The list I was given at CM immigration many years ago contains the requirement to provide "other document (sic) as requested by the Immigration Officer". This is the catch all.

They get a much easier pass and fast(er) track citizenship too.

They do not need the financial requirements.
