Police are investigating after four members of one family were found dead at a condominium in Desa ParkCity, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.

A 48-year-old Chinese man died after falling from the residential building. His wife and their two children are believed to have been murdered, according to Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus.

Police report received on Thursday

Police received the report at 3.32pm on Thursday, Aug 27. The case involves a family of four and investigators are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Authorities have not publicly set out further details of a suspected motive or sequence of events. The matter remains under police investigation.

Investigation continues

Deaths involving multiple members of a household are treated as serious investigations. Information released by police can change as forensic work, witness statements and other enquiries progress.

Readers are urged not to speculate about the family or the investigation while the authorities complete their work.

What it means for foreigners in Malaysia

For foreign residents in Kuala Lumpur, the incident is a reminder to rely on official police information in serious local cases, rather than unverified social-media claims. Anyone requiring urgent help in Malaysia can contact the emergency services through 999.
