You are misleading members / readers that international hotel chains are a like for like, thus, haircuts, transport, beer, food, etc etc etc etc etc etc will ALL be the same in Phuket. No, they are not.

No. The "flag fall" for the tuktuk is 200 baht. It's 200 baht just to get into the tuktuk in Phuket. Then, they negotiate where you want to go. 5km down the road to Kata Beach. 400 baht. Same journey at night. 600 baht. Same journey at night, and raining, 800 baht.
