24 Injured After Worker Bus Overturns Into Chachoengsao Canal

Twenty-four passengers were injured when a bus carrying Myanmar workers overturned into a roadside canal in Bang Pakong district, Chachoengsao, on September 7. Around 30 people were travelling to an industrial estate when the vehicle left a narrow stretch of road at approximately 6.30am. Rescue workers treated 21 men and three women for injuries before transporting them to a nearby hospital. The 65-year-old driver told investigators that a front wheel entered a roadside rut and the bus became unstable as he attempted to reverse and reposition it. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances that caused the vehicle to leave the road and overturn.
