Been raining most of the day, now also, and we're barely breaking even now. Although, woke up 37%, so actually doing good. Got both ACs on (24 & 13BTU), and easy to maintain comfy temp when solid overcast. 2 fridges, 1 laptop, and couple lights on.

That's when you're supposed to go to sleep if you're not on meth. 😃

For cloudy days, you oversize the solar array. If you have a 10 kW inverter, you might install around 20 kW of panels.

This morning when the rain was biggest our 30kWp array was making about 500W.

Batteries are at about 50% been declining steadily over the past few days of rain, Thai family are here tonight so I suspect a flip to grid is going to occur.

Our small system, 5kW Inverter 7x 550W + 3x335W panels has managed to produce 9ish kWh today and that is not bad with the overcast and the rains

We woke up to 37% / ~7kWh

produced 16, used 9 so far, so leaves ~7 + ~7 that we started with, so at 78% / ~14kWh, which should hold us over till tomorrow, and wake up again 35-40%, if not a wee bit more.

20kWh ESS = 18actual usable, I think.

Topped up the car the other day when sun broke through. MB has been topped, but raining, so not much use 🙄

Freezer & fridges always full. Should switch back over to city water, as on rain water & water pump, which uses a bit when running.
