Retired2
I have TOT ADSL and have always used Outlook Express to access my Hotmail. Yesterday, I started seeing "Windows Live" taking the place of my traditional Hotmail. Now, Outlook Express is saying that it cannot connect to Hotmail. I have tried everything I can think of to fix the problem. Is it just me, or are others having similar problems with the new Windows Live?
RKASA
Hotmail stopped me from using outlook a long time ago, I am suprised you we're using it. If ever I try to set up XP warns can't use outlook with hotmail. I don't think it will work again, but maybe with the paided hotmail service it will work?, but not the free web based stuff. Rice_King
The new Windows Live Hotmail changed the way Hotmail interfaces with Outllook and Outlook Express. If you use Outlook 2003 (and later), you will need the Outlook Connector (Free) from Microsoft. To access your Windows Live Hotmail in OE you will need to use a third party tool as described in the article How to Access Free Windows Live Hotmail in Outlook Express.
