O Visa For Tourist?

Featured Replies

I keep hearing about this non-imm O visa from people who are not working in Thailand or married to a Thai? I've been doing 60-day non-imm visa's with a 30 day extension and then leaving, getting a new one etc. I even found a consulate to give me one for 3 entries last time, so I basically just have to leave once every three months.

I'm just a tourist with no ties to this country that I could use to get me any documentation etc. Any way I can get a one year O visa? Details plz.

Also somebody told me 10/1 things are going to change big time with regard to visa regulations....anybody have any news on that? Link/info plz

Thanks!

Have a look at Hull royal Thai consulate site, gives deatails of visas and requirements etc. We came over on non O 2 yr ago purpose of visiting friends/relatives in Thailand. Fee is payable and have to apply in UK.

You dont have to apply in the UK, you have to apply from outside Thailand. Certainly for UK nationals international postage of a second passport (from outside Thailand) is 100% perfect, postage of a single passport depends on the rules for holding a passport with you in the country your in at time of application. I just used some time spent in India to this problem only last month with full disclosure and agreement from the consul.

Hull do process non UK nationals but expect a valid 'reason to apply there' so that may be harder for a non UK national (OP doesn't mention but username suggests non UK) to use the international postage solution..

I'm American but will be in London next week. I have no letters or documentation stating any reason why I should be in Thailand other than for recreation. Can I apply for one of these?

according to mama

it is possible to get an o visa

without retirement or marriage

mama: what docs did you have to provide

this sounds exceptional

too good to be true

though i have heard hull is easy

Yes Deejah, it's possible for UK people to get a Nom-Imm O for "tourism" or "visiting a friend"

From Thai Immigration rules, "Visiting friends" is not any more a valid raison to get a Non-Imm O Visa

but Hull consulat choose to give Nom-Imm O to any UK people without any raison... :o

Lucky UK guys... :D

Not only hull but Glasgow and (Not 100% sure but I think its) Birmingham also..

Hull is always mentioned but the others and easy going too.. Perhaps its Hulls 'can do' attitude and super fast turnaround.

I dont know if the others process non UK nationals but Hull certainly does.
