Neither my wife nor I are Thai. We were both working here on non im b woking visas. I have just had mine extended but my wife has recently stopped working to look after our son. She is now on a tourist visa. Obviously we need to get some sort of visa for her but what? I have been told that we have to get a non o, can we do this in Thailand or does my wife have to leave and apply from outside? What documents will be needed? cheers.

Police order 606/2006 para 7.19 should allow her matching extensions of stay but she will need to obtain a non immigrant visa. Believe that will require a Consulate trip with marriage certificate and copy of your passport/visa and perhaps WP.
