Heartbeat At Rest

45 bpm , too low ?

Not at all. Mine about the same and used to be in 30's. Was told in hospital that its usually a sign of physical fitness and common amongst athletes (not sure if this is true though because still low and not really that fit anymore).

45bpm isn't too low - if you are fit and active. If you're sedentary and don't really excercise - it could be a problem. Basically if your heart is fit and strong then it'll be shifting enough blood regardless of the bpm. However if you regularly experience dizziness or black outs then you could have problems.

Personally I am mid 50s.

Edit: Oh yes forgot to mention just because your heart rate is low doesn't mean you are fit - the test is how quick your heart returns to it's resting rate following excercise.

Book a box. Your next erection will kill you.

Lower is better too a point :o anything near zero is not too good. With the help of modern chemistry I manage to get my heart rate down to 80 to 85 bpm
