Houses Owned By Own Company?

Featured Replies

All those who "own" a house throiugh a specially set up company - what's happened now? Is the new law being enforced?#

Are you havng to register your shareholders again or what?

Will you lose ownership if the majority of your share holders say so?

There are hundreds of post discussions regarding that problem. I think it's safe to say that NOTHING is happening. If I were in that situation, I'd be trying to get out from under the bogus company. IF the shoe drops, it creates another major problem and that's who is responsible for allowing the situation to develop in the first place. It's quite obvious, at least to me that the Thai government was/is VERY aware of what was/is going on. The most amazing part is that farangs continue to set up these companies and lawyers are still eager to take their money. At this point I think all you can do is try to sleep at night and wait to see IF anything happens.

What new law?

AFAIK the government only floated the idea of changing the law.

Many have posted questions on various forums asking if anybody knows of anyone who has actually lost their property owned through a company.

No replies yet and friends of mine owning through the company route have received chanotes in the past 2-3 months.
