Our company seeks an entry-level analyst to research security, health and safety information for business travelers (frequent travelers) and overseas employees (expats). Mentored with continuing feedback. Highlighted issues include terrorism, labor unrest, xenophobia, transport disruptions, and natural disasters

Profile: Background in Political Science, English, Journalism a must. Must have internet access and a computer. Ideal for a retired professional willing to work 2-3 hours/day. You WILL NOT get paid during your training. [sorry but once you show us you are serious about it, we will be too]. We can pay you on a US bank account or directly with no interefernce with your visa. We would expect around 10 hours per week. The work can be done anywhere (internet), with ongoing feedback:

searching news and intelligence sources for events, trends and issues that will affect travelers, or foreign-owned businesses, in countries around the world.

summarizing these events in a specialized, custom format, morning and evening

improve our country files, doing ongoing research on issues related to specific countries.

Depending on employee’s talents, we could set up special research projects (e.g., China’s economic expansion into sub-Saharan Africa, or disparities in Islamic militancy in West Africa vs. East Africa). Such projects would be dependent on quality of the more basic research.

Employee will develop the following skills:

Recognizing an intelligence-related event among the volume of simple news events.

Writing concise briefings to a highly targeted audience. This is not journalism, but open-source intelligence – reporting news events in a more useful, applicable mode, and (ideally, after some training) adding some geopolitical context.

Developing critical thinking skills when it comes to reading news, especially recognizing biases among news organizations in different countries.

Improving writing skills.

If you are SERIOUSLY interested, PM me your resume and phone number. The position is open now, however I will be in Thailand before the end of the year and will also meet you directly.

AGAIN, ONLY SERIOUS CANDIDATES, PLEASE
