The university council's unanimous decision comes amid allegations of Hun Sen's support for aggressive measures against Thai civilians during recent border conflicts.

 

Accusations also claim that he has backed movements infringing on Thailand’s sovereignty, fomenting skirmishes along the border.

 

This move reflects the council's determination to uphold the integrity of its honorary awards. By rescinding the degree, they aim to clarify that honours should align with the university's values of peace and cooperation. The decision is now effective without delay.

What a joke! The university should be boycotted or closed down, I question their integrity.
