Stupid Farangs

You do not walk out in the road directly in front of an incoming car then stare as if I am in the wrong!!!

Also when a car is crawling behind you whilst walking down the middle of side street - here is a free tip - get the <deleted> out of the way - not walk 3 a breast happily talking completely oblivious to the world!

You wouldn't do it in your own <deleted>' country to why the do it here!?!?!

I don't know what it is with Farangs, they think cos they have paid xxx ammount for an airfafe to get to Thailand, they can swan about as they please.

I even noted a Farang who was looking at the clouds whilst walking with his Thai girlfriend who was walking backwards looking at her shoes. And another Fat Farang guy was crawling along the pavement barking like a dog whilst his Thai GF tightened the leash on his collar.

Farangs never cease to amaze me........

It raises serious questions as to their upbringing and educational levels, let's go the whole hog and even question their parentage, obviously uncaring, probably too busy drinking and gambling to care, and don't even get me started about their Grandparents...................................

You can say anything you want about mom and dad but you've crossed the line with my grandparents.

Of course if one wishes to go further one may (this applies to a certain type of farang..not all of course ): Decide to wear local talismans or get a symbolic tattoo (in the farang style= wearing various symbols/pendants, or tattoos that you have no clue as to what they really represent/mean.)Grow what hair you have left long and wear in a long ponytail. Believe you are a 'handsum man' even if you havent bathed for a week, have an expansive beer-gut and stubble that could strip the skin of most of the young ladies you 'entertain'. Learn a few thai words/phrases and believe your badly intonated broken sentences are understood by the smiling thai person listening. Stay within Thailands Bar zones and proclaim you know all about the Thai culture/thai way....

You must be one of the farangs that I often see around Thailand that has his nose so high in the air, that you should have drowned the 1st day of the rainy season. I still do it anyway, but only for women or the older folks.

I'm from the UK so maybe its a British etiquette thing ?

cant say i have, but maybe because i am distracted the antics of stupid farangs being stupid all the time.

It is found amongst those Thais that were taught or have seen appropriate manners. My impoverished friend from Surin holds the door for strangers. I do note that when I walk around Phuket, that the locals will help a women with a stoller get through a door or over a curb, while alot of europeans (Scandanavians excluded) won't help. If you want to see rude & stupid behaviour take a flight during peak travel times....... Quick Heinz lets go push our way to the front and scream at the hapless Thai gate agent.

That's because different societies believe that different actions constitute 'good manners'. The next time you're having a chat with Thai people try and explain to them that dumping your old folks into 'old people's homes' is beneficial to all and sundry. Be prepared to watch their horrified faces. I still cannot believe that supposedly sophisticated farangs aren't able to grasp the fact that the rest of the world does't necessarily believe exactly what they do.

i think with alot of training and if you ensure that they live in fear, you will see some improvement.

even so the way they live their lives often baffles me.

I hope all the"stupid Farangs" soon learn how to become as smart as Thais, so that the US.,UK,France ,Germany,etc. can one day hope to achieve all the High Standards in life, so easily found here in Thailand.I hope the Thai people will be so kind as to guide most of these countries,so they can get their house in order,as it is in Thailand.Please also send us all of your technology so that we can profit from it, and make our lives better.Should we not want to pay for it ,just give it to us free.Most importantly send us your teachers so that we can educate the stupid population here in the West,and hope to one day catch up to you.Please take the time to develop a small sensor, to help all the people who are bumping into each other over here.We would like to copy it,regardless of any patents.Its a national emergency,people are getting injured,and we cant afford your prices.

If they can't say thank you, and you keep buying them stuff,get another shirt while your at it,make sure "STUPID" is written on it,and put it on.
