It seems to me that there is very little mention of the Thai Tourist Police on this forum.

As their mandate is to look after tourists with regards to theft and assault, amongst many other duties and settle any disputes where tourists are involved, I wonder if any members have had dealings with the Tourist Police during their time in thailand and was the outcome good or bad, were they efficient, helpful etc ??

Would you have been better off using the local BiB instaead?

Please don't use this to slag off the normal BiB who maybe a different kettle of fish altogether, I am interested in the Tourist police as we never know when we may need them

i tried to ask something from Tourist Police only once. those particular guys hardly understand any English, so, gave up rather fast to have there assistance in the matter. All that i can get from the 'regular ' police guys too. i found it more like a marketing practise, then something real.

this is my experience.
