Just wanted you to know that immigration at Aranyaprathet is asking for a confirmed "ticket" out of Thailand within 30 days of your entry stamp to get a visa except stamp. I am not sure if that ticket could also be a train ticket.

I had not been on a visa run for over a year. The buildings were new and air-conditioned. The number of "farangs" seemed way down......maybe 70% from the last time I did a visa run. In fact, I was looking at those that were crossing and did not see any of them with air-tickets.......so I assumed they had tourists visas (if you enter with a tourists visa the ticket rule does not apply).

I originally thought that a lot of visa run companies would go out of business because of the rule changes (totally insane in my view). But, maybe not. One thing I noticed was a huge increase in the number of Thais crossing he border to go gambling. Perhaps the visa run companies have now turned into Thai gambling run companies. I also saw a lot of economic growth around the border area.

It took me 18 hours of traveling to get that stupid stamp! Very frustrating! End of story.

Nope! Only a airline ticket (as reported).

Ban Laem though accepts a bus ticket if you buy it on the spot for 200 baht. Take Jack Golf to Ban Laem (4 times a week).

Go back home. Or take alternative measures to get another visa. If you take a visa run from Pattaya,

it will take you no more than 9 hours.

If it were that easy.........actually, I live in the center of Thailand and that makes it difficult as hel_l to do any visa runs, no matter which direction I go. Thanks for the info. on Jack Golf.......several people are not doubt interested in that type of info.
