Can I Get A 60 Day Tourist Visa?

Featured Replies

I was in Thailand from May 20 to June 18. And from July 3 to Aug. 1.

I want a 2 month tourist visa from Oct 10 to Dec 10.

Is this possible? I'm a 30 yr old American.

Thanks

No reason why not. You need to get it outside of Thailand.

Naka.

But wouldn't this put me over the allowable 90 days out of 180 days for tourist visas?

no.

visa on arrival and tourist visa not same same. i lub how thais talk.

The rule is for visa exempt entry (those 30 day stamps for entry without a visa that some people get). That rule is not more than 90 days in a six month period.

For the tourist visa that you obtain from a Consulate there is no such limit and days on such an entry are not counted.

I see. So technically one could stay on back to back tourist visas indefinately. Is Kuala Lumpur "reliable" at issuing these visas?

Probably as reliable as any place - any Consulate could say no but normally they would tell you not to come back first.
