Residentpermit.non immigrant multiple entry visa

Recommended Posts

Hi I am 55 years. and planning to apply for a Non Immigrant Multiple Entry Visa for three consecutive years in order to qualify for a resident permit in the end. Can anyone tell me how many trips a year you have to make alt. how long a period one needs to stay per year in Thailand in order to qualify after three years for a resident permit ?

Thanks

Seven

Hello Seven,

I have held a resident permit for seven years now. You have to stay for three years continuously(which includes re-entry endorsements). However, the quota doesn't open until October every year. So, you have to be very lucky to submit it in three years! More like four years and then wait for the results. I have been in Thailand for 12 years and I made it on the first round. Some people say it isn't worth it. That may be true but there are benefits to having one.  :o
