When getting a letter from bank to show 800k in Bank they could not say it had come from outside Thailand as I had transfered it from Mrs account. I thought from reading this forum that this was now a necessity but decided to call 1111 to find out before applying for visa. After speaking to five people over a 25 minute period none of them knew and the last person gave us another number which was never answered. Called one immigration office and they said must show the money comes from abroad, called another to make sure as bank inssisted no need to show it comes from abroad, second office said no need, just have to show 800k in bank for three months, so still no wiser. Is it possible to apply for visa at an office ouside the Bangkok area if you live in Bangkok? I could ring 1111 but doubt if they would know.
