Gonna Stay In Thailand One Day Past My Visa, Big Problem?

Featured Replies

my flight from Bankok to my home is 1 day after my tourist visa ends, (couldnt get anything better).

what kind of trouble i can expect at the airport?? ,a fee?, an arrest?

Naughty boy look and likely a red stamp that does not do your passport any good (overstay). You could avoid that for 1,900 baht with a 7 day extension of stay (present photo and ticket).

I thought you got one free day. Do they still stamp it, just not charge you?

Yep, you get the red stamp for one day, just no fine (airport only, no free days at land crossings). If you are on two days you get fined for both.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Yes.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

Not really a problem. If you do not want the red stamp in your passport go to immigration and get a 7 day extension for 1,900 Baht as Lopburi said. I know I would.
