Uk And Thai Spec Vigo (hilux)

Featured Replies

Can someone provide me with a link or quick list of the differences in spec between a Thai and a UK Hilux (Vigo).

I'm aware of a few and I'm just adding up what it would cost to "up" the spec in Thailand, ship and then SVA, any ideas?

1) Engine (bigger size than UK model?)

2) No Passenger airbag (can be fitted - cost?)

3) Fog light (can be fitted - cost?)

4) Heaters, including rear??? (can be fitted - cost?)

5) Rear seats only have 2 headrests???

6) Seatbealts (pre-tensioners???)

7) Any others?

Thanks in advance. :o

P.S Anyone know a competitive, reliable dealer, possibly for several Vigos'?

Are these any good?

Soni has a very good reputation, there is also expats and i find some of their accessory prices very cheap,.uk now has the 3.0d4d ,either of these companies wil do all these mods you need ,.not sure about the 3rd headrest though, caused me a few headaches that has, ! i send 6 sets of leather to a toyota dealer with 2 each,.Query the tyres, they seem to take them off in england, i used to buy loads off a firm all new, must be a reason for it, maybe not E marked ?

Adding on all the shipping, spec'd and leathered up, what would you guess the saving would be on UK list (or discounted sale)?

£4-6k depending on model???

Thanks again for your quick response.

Speedo is in kmh, needs to be in mph for a UK import unless you use the back-door via Republic of Ireland (you then get nice Irish plates :o )

Watch your UK insurance, many companies won't touch/load imports even if the spec. is identical to the UK.
