midas
We often hear examples in Thailand where prices are increased to offset a drop in the customer base - examples are Thai Airways, the Thailand EliteCard program and in some cases even in some real estate projects. I hear more and more business proprietors complaining about lack of customers but then it seems their only solution is to increase prices ! My gym has suddenly decided to increase the monthly membership by 25 percent even though it was only increased by 20 percent at the beginning of this year ! Obviously I will be voting with my feet but these sorts of price increases I believe are completely unjustified. I'm just wondering what the business conditions are like here in Thailand at the beginning of this new high season ?

Or if the owner is a foreigner , needs more income to please the immigration . If I were you I would change the gym , sending them the message .
