Although most of the events are being held in Korat, there are a number being held in and around Pattaya.

Canoeing, Rowing, and Traditional Boat race are being held at Mab Prachan Reservoir.

Equestrian - Dressage and Show jumping are being held at Horseshoe Point, and Eventing is being held at the Thai Polo Club. (Both locations are near to Mab Prachan)

Sailing is being held at the Ocean Marina Yacht Club, and Wind Surfing is taking place at Jomtien Beach.

Swimming is being held at Ambassador City

Cycling is being held on Sukhumvit Road between Ambassador City and Bangsaray.

Running is being held on Sukhumvit Road - Ambassador City - Jomtien - Pattaya (presumably the marathon)

And if that isn't enough excitement for you, there is the Thai traditional Boat Races and Buffalo races at the Mab Prachan reservoir on 17th & 18th November.

If only there were more posts like this one, we could actually attend and enjoy these things instead of seeing or reading about them in the local media after the event. Advance advertising is not a strong point here and many events would be much more attended if folk knew what was happening more than 1 day before or 2 days after it happens!

There is no breakdown of the athletics events which are being held between 7-11 Dec, so I cannot find out the date of the marathon in Pattaya. (If someone can find it, please let us know)

The above dates are per the SEA Games 2007 website, and if you plan to go to any of the events, I suggest you check on their website for any updates, as it wouldn't surprise me if there are not some errors in the currently published information.
