My sister in the UK has asked me to find out prices for a lab quality microscope, something with about x2000 magnification plus. It's to be used for parasite checking on Koi Carp.

Can anyone tell me where, in Bangkok, I should start looking?

Yes it's amazing to think that in 100yrs or so, todays electronic,computerised,all singing all dancing gadgets will become quaint heirlooms.

The large store near democracy monument has some on the top floor,& theres also a chemistry type place next door to it that has some.Although i cant remember if they went up to 2000x.

ive heard Asian optics are generally very good,although in the lighting of the scope can be more important.

In my experience the scopes here are not any cheaper than in the west,hence,I got mine off of ebay in the end from a european dealer.A very cheap scope,but not the biological kind,just a stereo scope.
