Anyone know about court proceedings,how long, how much

lawyer says about 3 months for som lot given him 1000 baht for

initial work says about another 20 000 baht for completion.better

than the 100 000 baht previous saamii(husband) wants.

I think I understand.

20k sounds about right to me, but three months will probably turn into over six months if my previous experience is typical of thai divorces

Why is it that if the woman want's a divorce the Thai husband often demands money ? is it because he had to pay the "sin sot" in the first place ?

Just in case anyone's interested just received "somrot" from

fiance we applied aug 1 granted sept 9.
