Well said. I think if you are say 55 + male and either live in Thailand, or like going to Thailand or have thai partners, you are likely to have something in common with those on this site even if it is not always readily apparent. But it can be like if you sat at a park bench and someone sat next to you and had a chat - if they give you too much personal information, are too strong in their opinion or righteousness, or if they have the same whinge time and time again, try and be too quirky or show they have money or similar, or make statements clearly designed to be rude or troll you'll shortly give them the flick. Here you can engage a bit or not. Down side is it's clearly impersonal - many prominent posters disappear - had enough, dead, who knows. I actually though the op along with So Cal 1990 and others were paid posters at one point because they all appeared at the same time - June 2024, have numbers in their name, and write in a certain style - but maybe not.
