The Mrs is getting a new passport with her new surname and I was wondering about the old one, can she keep both, do they take it and destroy it etc, there are many country stamps in there, proof etc, we will of course make copies before she applies??

Thanks

Presumably it's a Thai passport and in that case they will return it with the new one with the corner of the cover cut off and cancelled stamped in it. Any Visa inside which is still current can be used as the passport is cancelled but not the visas inside. She just shows both where she needs to.
