Study Resources

Not sure if this is the place to post this question, but I am returning to Thailand in a couple of months, where I will be using the time to write my dissatation for my MA. My question is, should I just buy books here in the UK and bring them with me. Or is there a library or any accademic book shops where I can purchase the books from in Thailand. Of course buying there would be much easier due to most of these books are hardback heavy reference books and will cost me a fortune to bring, let alone carry in my case along with traveling with my baby. But I am not sure of resources available in Thailand in English for information needed. Mostly I need books on Discourse and Applied Linguistics.

Can anyone help

Contact the Linguistics Dept of some Universities in Thailand and ask them for the availability and prices for the books you thinkyou will need. Books can be shipped in from overseas at book rate and with no import duty I think so it need not be as expensive as you think...be sure to insure them fully and to ship early as it may take awhile book rate...I don't know as I have absolutely no experience in these matters.
