October 27, 200718 yr I would appreciate the expert advice that seems to haunt this board.... I am a UK citizen and may be returning to the UK soon after 7 years working in Thailand. I have a job offer (with accommodation). Which visa should my wife apply for if she is to join me permenantly? - A EEA Famly permit, or a Settlement Visa? We have a daughter with dual passports, so that will not be a problem. Thanks.... I am confused.....
October 27, 200718 yr I would have thought a Settlement Visa The EEA Family permit is for spouses on EU nationals going to a 3rd country ie if you were say French or Spanish and going to the UK to work as an example.

Thanks - doesn't make sense to me though. If I was French, my wife could enter the UK on a free family permit. But because I am British, I have to pay 36,000 Baht?
