naka
A U.S. friend has a two entry tourist visa issued from home. He expects to remain in Thailand for somewhat more than 120 days in total. When he applies for an extension after 60 days (perhaps in Korat) will he be issued the full 30 days or is it possible he would be given less. If they were only to issue ten days or so he would not bother given the amount of overland travel involved plus the expense. Thanks. Naka.
lopburi3
"somewhat" is a key word for giving advise and not very specific. If he does not need the extra 30 days on first entry he might want to just do it on the second entry as some people are being asked to provide evidence of outbound travel at the end of the normal 30 day extension and if not able to provide will most likely only receive 7 days. On second entry extension he should have his return ticket available if asked.
