I have my new F-300 mobile phone and want to make a list of contact names and numbers (in case of phone loss). I have connected my phone to the computer and transfered the contacts info into Samsung PC Studio 3 where it list all the names and numbers neatly on one page.

The problem is that that when I print this screen page I need about 12 pages of paper to print all the info as it only prints 4 names per page.

No option to change format or even print select pages, i.e. if something goes wrong on page 9 you have to go back and reprint from page 1.

OK, so maybe a cut and paste into windows will work...but NO deal.

OK, so maybe I will export the contacts into a file that I can open in Windows... it creates a file but it is always empty.

Suggestions please....

Hello :o

Owning a couple of Samsung phones myself (and wondering why each one needs it's own version of PC Studio) i found that you can "export as comma seperated volume (CSV)" or something like that will generate a file that opens in M$ Office's "Excel" or alternative program. You can then print it from there.

This will show all details that you have saved for a contact, i.e. name, multiple numbers, e-mail, address etc even codes for assigned ringtones or pictures and caller groups.

If you have another Samsung you are able to "import" that file in THAT phone's PC Studio and upload it to that phone - if you have the same ringtones and contact pictures saved there, it will work right away.

Just did that a couple of weeks ago when i changed my main phone from Samsung S179 to Samsung F679 :D

Best regards.....

Yes, I keep trying to export by creating a .csv file but it is always empty when I open it in Excel. It has the column headers (Type, first name, last name, mobile, home etc.) but no data. File size is only 90 bytes.

I have checked for upgrades on the software but its all up-to-date.

Annoying when you can see the data in PC Studio but can't 'handle'it.
